Eligibility
  • All nationalities are eligible to participate.
  • Courses or Subjects that are eligible: Applicants can apply for a PhD in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.
  • Criteria for Eligibility: Applicants must meet all of the following/given requirements to be considered:
  • To apply, you must be a resident or international student.
  • Have an unconditional offer of admission to the University of Sydney’s Faculty of Medicine and Health to pursue a PhD full-time. (It’s worth noting that admissions can be submitted for at the same time as the scholarship.)
  • Be willing to conduct research in any of the following areas to enhance outcomes for people with laryngeal and vocal disorders:
  • A better understanding of physiological regulation
  • Measures that are sensitive and specialized should be identified.
  • Artificial intelligence for early detection
  • Easier access to specialist evaluation and treatment, or enhance patient outcomes by developing therapeutic paths

  • Admission Requirements: To be admitted to a PhD research program at the University of Sydney, students must have suitable skills, interests, and qualifications.
  • Language Requirement: Applicants must pass the following English language competency tests with a minimum score:
  • IBT TOEFL – 96
  • 592 on the TOEFL PBT
  • 7.0 on the IELTS
  • Enroll in a research project in one of the DLVP’s study topics, as indicated above, and be supervised by a member of the Doctor Liang Voice Program’s academic team.
  • You must have a first-class honours degree or a four-year degree with a proven track record of professional and research accomplishments since graduation.
BENEFITS

Subject to excellent academic achievement at the University of Sydney, this scholarship program will grant a stipend allowance of $35,000 per year for up to 3.5 years.
