Medical Scholarships for Ukrainians at Japan’s International University of Health and Welfare

The International University of Health and Welfare has offered to create Ukrainian Medical Scholarships for the academic year 2022-2023 in order to assist Ukrainian national students in pursuing their higher education.

The university is only offering this scholarship to Ukrainian nationals who intend to study in Japan for their undergraduate degree. Academic expenses, living expenses, dormitory fees, food, transit expenses, and other benefits will be provided to the selected students. The scholarship will be worth up to JPY29,930,000 in total.

The International University of Health and Welfare was founded in 1995 in Otawara, Tochigi, Japan as a private university. This university, which is rated 130th in the country, aspires to create a society based on mutual respect and assistance.

  • How to Apply: Students must apply for admission using the university site by logging in. All qualifying students will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis.

The following perks will be granted to the applicants who are selected as scholarship winners:

  • Over the course of six years of study at the School of Medicine, educational fees for a bachelor’s program (Admission charge, Tuition fee, Experiment and Practice fee, and Facilities Maintenance fee) will be incurred. JPY18,770,000.00 total over six years.
  • Any other academic expenditures permitted by IUHW, such as textbooks, conference attendance, and uniforms (actual expenses up to JPY300,000 per year) JPY1,800,000 in total over six years.
